Important Information


Recruiting Portal - Changes for Existing Customers

Existing customers who use the Recruiting Portal and wants to update to Rollup Update 39 have 2 Options:

1. Please follow this Guideline, if you have customizations on your portal, that you don´t want to lose. (You don´t need to install the Additional Recruiting Portal Solution)

2. If you don´t have any major customizations, you can just install the latest version of the Recruitment Portal.

Recruiting Portal Changes after Update to RU 39


Update to the Installation Process of Rollup 39

The behavior when importing solution(RU Update - running the package deployer) has been changed from "Overwrite customization" to "Do not overwrite customization". Maintain customizations - This option will maintain (support merge behavior (forms, sitemap, ribbon, app modules,...)) any unmanaged customizations performed on components but also implies that some of the updates included in this solution will not take effect.


Important information for Customers using the Datafox Time Tracking Terminals

While updating to Rollup Update 39 it can happen, that the connection between the Datafox Integration Service and the HR Management solution is interrupted. If this happens to your system, please get back with our support team so that they can establish the connection again for your system.

Integrations to Third-Party Systems

Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O Integration

Integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O has been improved by implementing seamless data exchange between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O and HR for Dynamics. The following base entities are now synchronized out of the box: Employee, Employment Term, Position & Job Profile. This means that HR for Dynamics and Finance & Operations seamlessly synchronize data in the central HR Administration.

Feature Introduction

Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations provides data for Dataverse as a "Virtual Table". The data records remain here in the F&O database. This improves, compared to the previous Talent Integration, the speed and quality of synchronization. As part of this integration, the following power extensions "Time Management" and "Recruiting" are now available for customers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O. In addition, we have created a new synchronization of data sets. This means that if a customer is already using Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and would like to integrate HR for Dynamics into their existing structures, this synchronization of the data makes this possible without any effort.

Technical Details

The necessary system data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O for the "Time Management" and "Recruiting" modules is transferred and synchronized directly to HR for Dynamics. Relevant data records from the HR for Dynamics modules, such as the digital employee file, are in turn transferred and synchronized to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O. The overview table lists the data mapping in detail. The synchronization of the data can now be executed arbitrarily or manually via the "FO Sync" flow. HR for Dynamics then synchronizes all integrated data records with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources F&O. This has the following background:

  1. Inventory data can be synchronized so that HR for Dynamics Power Extensions can be used.
  2. If necessary, individual data records can be triggered in this way in order to perform a synchronization again.

HR for Dynamics

Complete Translation of HR for Dynamics: English, German & French


In Rollup 39, a complete revision of the translations has been made.


Feature Introduction

HR for Dynamics is available in 3 languages: English, German and French. With Rollup Update 39 we have closed all translation gaps in the respective languages and standardized the naming of multiple fields.


Technical Details

Via the personalization settings you can set your preferred language (in real time) in the "Languages" tab. You do not need any additional steps for this translation extension. They are available out of the box via the personalization settings.


Note

Due to the revision, it´s possible that fields or field descriptions (mouse-over effect) known to you may now have slightly differences . However, this does not affect the function logic.


Process documentation - Description of Flows and Workflows are available


In Rollup Update 39, we have now detailed the description of workflows and flows for our customers.


Feature Introduction

The description of all 39 flows and 275 workflows has been revised to a high quality and described in detail. Now customers can read exactly which conditions and which actions are integrated in a flow or workflow.


Technical Details

Calling the workflow descriptions:
Go to Advanced Settings - Process Center and call Process. The HR for Dynamics workflows (based on the entities) can be called via the process name. From there you can access the description via Administration. There you will find detailed technical information about the elements.


Calling the flow descriptions:
Go to make.powerapps.com. Select your respective productive environment. Via "Solutions" you can open the entry: "Dynamics HR Management Flows". Here all flows are listed. In the entries you can now find the description.


Keeping up to date with the Standard of Microsoft regarding Code Changes

In Rollup Update 39, a lot has been optimized in the backend of HR for Dynamics to stay up to date.


Technical Details

Performance - Improvements being made by Microsoft will now impact HR for Dynamics
Security - The ".Net" version has been updated from 4.5.2 to 4.7.1
Compatibility - "Dynamics 365 cloud environment" will be constantly updated by Microsoft and HR for Dynamics - plugins will be compatible
Support - Microsoft no longer supports versions below 4.6.2 - This issue does not occur with HR for Dynamics


Important Information regarding Jobboard- Support


With the integration of Broadbean as a multiposter in the recruiting module, support for separate job portal integrations will be discontinued in the medium term. This primarily affects the Stepstone- and Labor Office- integration. Since Xing is completely restructuring and now has a completely new system (including a new brand and website "onlyfy"), Xing will only be supported by Broadbean from now on. All requirements for publishing vacancys on Xing are completely supported by Broadbean.
